Maple Creek Beautification
Dear Maple Creek Neighbors,
Our community has a wonderful charm, and to maintain its beauty, we are organizing a Community Beautification Day on Saturday, June 6 at 9:00 a.m. for neighbors to volunteer their time, talent, and service. We will meet at the 21st Street entrance to do the following tasks:
1. Trim up the lower branches of the trees especially on the island.
2. Replant tulips and daffodil bulbs in specific areas.
3. Do new plantings in bare areas on island and possibly in front of brick walls.
4. Remove any weeds in these areas.
5. Clean up debris around small pond.
6. Clean the light globes on the posts along with replacing a light bulb on one of the posts.
7. Any other suggestions to beautify these areas are also welcomed.
How can you help?
1. Join us by bringing your own gloves, rakes, brooms, leaf blowers, ladders, shovels, gardening tools, etc. Any power tools such as saws/ trimmers to remove the lower tree branches will be needed. (There are no power outlets to plug in electric tools. Please make sure that any tools are fully charged.)
2. Donate supplies such as trash bags or bottles of water.
3. Assist with placing trash bags in individual trash carts.
4. Stopping by to connect with neighbors and to say,” Hi!”.
5. If you are unable to attend or volunteer but would like to contribute towards the purchase of items such as mulch, rocks, or perennial plants (heat and drought resistant ones) monetary donations are welcomed.
In case of rain, we will reschedule our “Beautification Day” for Saturday, June 13 at 9:00 a.m. This will also be our “Take Pride in the East Side Day” in which neighbors are encouraged to assist with collecting trash and debris around the perimeter areas of 21st Street and German Church Road.
Our “Take Pride Day in the East Side Day” will occur the second Saturday of each month with residents gathering at the 21st Street entrance with trash bags, gloves, and trash grippers.
We are looking forward to working together in keeping our community a beautiful place to live.
